An indispensable member of the NBCC medical team is Dr. George Farha, an expert radiation oncologist. He completed his General Medicine Diploma at Saint Joseph University in 2009 and acquired his certificate in Clinical and Molecular Genetics in 2011 at the same university. In 2013, he narrowed his focus and acquired an academic degree in Head and Radiation Therapy from Paris Sud XI University in France and a Master’s Degree in Public Health in 2014 from the same university. Most recently, Dr. Farha completed his fellowship in CNS/Spine SBRT and Head & Neck Radiotherapy from the University of Toronto in Canada in 2016.
Dr. Farha’s medical experience extends across several different hospitals in Lebanon, the U.S., and France. He completed his residency first in internal medicine and then in radiation oncology at Hotel-Dieu de France Hospital in Beirut. He worked as a Radiation Oncology Resident from 2012-2014 at Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus in Villejuif, France before becoming a Research Fellow in CNS and GU Radiotherapy at the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology in Los Angeles, California. Since 2016, Dr. Farha has been the Staff Radiation Oncologist at Mount Lebanon Hospital in Beirut as well as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Balamand.
