NBCC is entirely focused on supporting women with any breast care concern or pathology, within a diverse range of services.
No breast issue is considered too minor as our center is equipped with numerous amenities dedicated to support our patients’ well-being. These services include early screening, diagnostic imaging services, specialist consultation, cosmetic surgery, as well as treatment of breast cancer and reconstructive surgery.
At NBCC, we offer holistic care for our patients — meaning we support all our patients’ physical and emotional breast concerns– in order to ensure high quality of life throughout their treatment.
The most common form of treatment for breast cancer is surgery. This could involve removing the whole breast gland (modified mastectomy) with immediate or delayed reconstruction, or removing the tumor and nearby tissue (partial mastectomy / lumpectomy) and oncoplastic reconstruction.
With more than twenty-eight years of experience ranging across the fields of General Surgery, Healthcare Management and Medical Education, Dr. Imad El-Hajj recognized the need for a center entirely devoted to women’s breast care concerns. Medical services related to breast care are usually divided into more than one location, leading to added stress and anxiety on the patients and to delays in providing medical services and diagnosis.
In light of this, Dr. El-Hajj founded NBCC to provide the most comprehensive breast health care services in a single location, within a compassionate and welcoming environment in the heart of Beirut.
Using the most modern medical equipment and treatments available, NBCC adopts a multidisciplinary-care approach with a leading medical team of specialists, including radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, plastic surgeons, psychologists, breast care nurses, nutritionists as well as social workers.
This approach means our team works together to discuss each case and to decide on the latest evidence-based treatment for a specific type and stage of cancer. By having a multidisciplinary team, each patient benefits from an integrated breast care program that is evaluated from various medical perspectives. So, instead of the hassle of meeting different specialists in several clinics, NBCC offers consistently organized medical services, clear communication between physicians and patients, and most importantly, an uninterrupted continuity of care.
