Dr. Ziad El Ngheioui Legrand currently serves as Chief of Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular Imaging at the Beirut Cardiac Institute Hospital. His previous employment includes the position of MD in Cardio Vascular Imaging and Interventional Department at the CHRU Lille Hospital in Lille, France. He has obtained his medical degree in Internal Medicine, Radiology and Medical Imaging from the University of Kaunas in Lithuania, which was later followed by degrees in ENT Imaging, Cardio Vascular Imaging, and AFSA in Cardio Vascular Imaging and Interventional Radiology from Inter University (France) and University of Lille II (France) respectively.
He has authored and co-authored over 25 publications, covering topics such as ‘Indications, morbidity and mortality of thoracic stentgrafting’ ‘Observations from multidetector CT Imaging of different types of renal artery stents’ and ‘Feasibility and results of a closer device for larger percutaneous punctures’, to name a few.
He has given several talks at prestigious medical conferences in France and is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as the French Society of Cardio Vascular Radiology (SFICV), the French Society of Radiology (SFR), the French Order of Physicians, the Lebanese Order of Physicians as well as the Lebanese Society of Radiology.
Dr. Ziad does a lot of Breast Interventions post-operatively at NBCC.
