Dr. Rabih Saed is an oncologist at NBCC and he has brought with him a wealth of experience in oncology as a researcher, medical director, and Associate Professor in Oncology. He completed his medical degree at the Lebanese University in Beirut and continued his Residency in Internal Medicine at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center (SGHUMC). He later travelled to the United States where he finished his Fellowship in Hematology Oncology at Staten Island University Hospital in New York from 2008-2011 and his Advanced Fellowship in Investigational Cancer Therapeutics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston from 2011-2012.
Later he served as the Medical Director of the University of Texas Memorial Hermann North East Cancer Center from 2012-2013 where he was also a member of several committees concerned with quality improvement and research in oncology. In Lebanon, he is a member of the Oncology Committee in the Ministry of Public Health, a consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine at Clemenceau Medical Center, and an Associate Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Balamand.
Dr. Saed is devoted not only the healthcare of his patients, but also to their emotional well-being. Staten Island University Hospital has recognized his humanistic approach to medical care by awarding him the Best Resident for Humanistic Medicine Award in 2008, and he has been labelled as one of the best doctors in Houston in Houstonia Magazine two years in a row. His various publications and protocols in cancer research have kept him up-to-date in the latest techniques and most effective approaches in cancer treatments.
